Day 5 - Wednesday - special bavarian food to try

Yesterday was cooking evening. The southafrican and german scouts had a delicious dinner with the typical bavarian food.

Pretzels, potato salad and meatloaf. This is  the stereotyped food in bavaria. I really love the pretzels. Especially when they are with butter and chives. The meatloaf is not my favorite. I prefer every kind of bread - as you know from my video below. But that´s my liking.

The kitchen in the Guntherburg was the perfect place for the dinner. Special thanks to Maria-Theresia for preparing the salad! A long and exiting day got a perfect ending in Passau.

Some of our friends tried the meatloaf with egg for the first time in their life. The germans are of course used to this. You can see the difference: cautious and thrilled.

Be prepared!
Magdalena

Day 5 - Wednesday - Scouts from 1st Passau finally visit Passau

Scouts from 1st Passau and DPSG Passau at the Ortsspitze
Maybe you remember the classic paper chase. It was always fun. That is why we decided to have a whatsApp chase in Passau to show our friends our hometown. The second reason was, I was not able to be in Passau today. So I tried to explain the important spots in Passau via social media: the place where the three river meet - Ortsspitze, the old town hall with the marks of the floods and of course the baroque cathedral with more than 17700 pipes. I had a funny afternoon and as I heard the group, too.
Lovely Greetings
Magdalena

Day 3/4 Monday/Thuesday - Host Families

Some things can not be explained by words only. The everyday life  in germany, or every other country, is one of these. Last year when we scouts from Passau visitet Mpumalanga I realised this. It is not the same being a tourist, or living with a family.
Our southafrican guests experienced this the last three days. They spent the family-life together with six amazing host families. Thanks to you, scouts from Winhöring, Kirchdorf, Vilshofen and Hauzenberg. Your shared your life and I hope you have a lot of unforgettable memories of this special time.

What did you do together? Write about your adventure in the comments! I´m excited. :-)

Greetings and be prepared!

Day 2 - Sunday - Working together is fun

Franziska und Maria-Theresia
The Eber family has been busy yesterday afternoon. Office work ist not a very popular task. But it is also important to be done: the cash book, income and expenditure, the list of participants.
And helping together made it less boring. We had really fun and after work we had a delicious blackberry-cake. Thanks to mum!
I´m sorry, there´s no photo of the cake. It was gone so fast.
The planning team has been working for one year. Here are some impressions from our meetings and telephone conferences.
